    Fairytale Farm Illuminated Evenings 2024 Dates: Every Saturday and Sunday, 5th October – 17th November (and daily during October half-term). The inaugural Cirencester History Festival has a packed and exciting programme of local, national and global history for all ages. Events will reflect on the past, challenge the present and explore the future via topics ranging from the Romans to revolutions, the Anglo-Saxons to archaeology and from the Tudors to today's global challenges.

    This October, Cotswold Farm Park is bursting with Halloween magic, offering a range of exciting family-friendly activities that promise an unforgettable day out. From exploring the dog-friendly Pumpkin Patch to carving your own spooky masterpiece, there's something for everyone to enjoy. Your pups can pose at canine selfie stations while you and the kids pick from thousands of vibrant pumpkins or try your luck navigating the spooky maize maze. You'll also find a 'supermarket of squash' with an array of edible and ornamental pumpkins and gourds in all shapes, colours and sizes that will ignite your culinary and creative imaginations.

  4. Mars: War and Peace at Night
    Journey to Planet Mars at Gloucester Cathedral this October. Experience the wonders of Planet Mars right here on Earth within the sacred walls of Gloucester Cathedral with Luke Jerram's Mars: War and Peace on display between 15 October – 3 November. Visitors will have the chance to see Luke Jerram's incredible seven metre sculpture of Mars up close in the Cathedral Nave, accompanied by an immersive soundtrack in the surroundings of our stunning dramatic space. The artwork features detailed NASA imagery of the Martian surface and is on rotation. A diverse and packed programme of activities accompanies this exhibition. Tickets are now available for a spectacular performance of Holst's Planets Suite by the Cheltenham Symphony Orchestra, marking the 150th anniversary of the birth of the Cheltenham born composer. For a unique view of the artwork in all its glory after dark, visitors can also buy tickets for Mars: War and Peace at Night viewings.

  6. Cocktail Masterclass
    Celebrate an evening of gin cocktails, fun and laughter as our very own Tom Palmer demonstrates each of the chosen three cocktails through the night. Tom will then guide you through as a group to create your perfect cocktail, small breaks will be given after each cocktail is made to allow you to enjoy your new creation and this time will allow the team to prepare any equipment/ingredients for each cocktail to follow. A small grazing board of nibbles will be served towards the end of the night to allow you to enjoy your cocktails a little longer and soak up the cocktail making atmosphere. £5 of each ticket price goes towards our chosen charity which is the local
    1. HIGHGROVE KOKEDAMA
      This workshop includes a 90-minute Garden Tour and a two-course lunch. Learn the traditional Japanese art form of Kokedama at this immersive workshop hosted by Jo and the team at Scentiments. Kokedama (Japanese for "Moss Ball") is a fun way to display indoor plants with a fresh, organic feel, using seasonal plants and sustainably sourced moss. The Nearai Bonsai method is a relaxing art form that is centuries old. At the end of the workshop, each guest will take away their very own Kokedama. WORKSHOP WITH A 90-MINUTE GARDEN TOUR As part of your workshop, you will experience a bespoke garden tour of the beautiful gardens at Highgrove, led by one of His Majesty King Charles III's experienced guides. Highgrove is a place of peace and tranquillity, where The King's passion and imagination have been etched onto the Cotswold landscape. From the magnificent Wildflower Meadow to the enchanting setting of the Arboretum, the gardens embody His Majesty's gardening ideals and organic principles. A HANDS-ON DAY OUT WITH A DELICIOUS TWO-COURSE LUNCH Immerse yourself in the captivating world of Japanese gardening and enjoy a warm welcome at the Orchard Room on the Highgrove Estate.       Cotswold Voluntary Wardens offer guided walks across the Cotswolds National Landscape from various locations around the Cotswolds. Many walks do not require booking just turn up on the day at the advertised meeting location. All walks by the Voluntary Wardens are FREE OF CHARGE however donations are welcome and help us to take care of the countryside.
