SCULPTURE EXHIBITION
Wednesday–Sunday, 10–5 pm, plus bank holidays.
Entry costs £12 Adults and free for children under 16 yrs + free indoor exhibition (in the village Club Room)
Accessibility: mostly gravel and grass paths, assistance dogs (only) are welcome. Plenty of parking.
If you share a passion for sculpture (or gardens, or photography!), you'll love the next Creating Spaces exhibition; returning again to Miserden Estate, near Cirencester.
Find nearly 300 sculptures, framed by the changing colours of the growing gardens, throughout this year's extended 3 month summer opening.
From buds and birdsong, to summer shadows, bees and butterflies; and the rich colours of the herbaceous borders in high summer: each month brings a different perspective to the sculptures, carefully curated in this historic setting to work in synergy with the planting.
In the gardens and also indoors in the free exhibition at the Miserden Club Room, in the village; you'll feel inspired by abstract and figurative work, stone and wood carving, bronze and metal, ceramics, textiles, mosaic, glass and more.
A wonderful sense of tranquility in the Lutyens-designed space
The timeless walled gardens expertly planted with roses, clematis and herbaceous plants overlook a deer park and the rolling Cotswold hills of the Golden Valley beyond.
You'll find sculptures nestling within the magnificent colours of the mixed borders and amidst the magical features of the 17th-C Lutyens' designed yew walk and quaint grass steps, rill water feature, 'secret' walled garden and wilded areas.
Imagine how the sculptures could look in your own 'manor' or garden
With so much variety, at a range of price points; you could find the sculpture that really speaks to you. Most are available for purchase; whether they're unique pieces or small-run editions.
At no extra cost, you can also watch some of the sculptors at work and find out more about their passion.
