About
Arcadia is a stunning, dreamy cabin set in its own area of ancient woodland. Stained glass windows cast gentle colours across the inside of the cabin, wooden beams arch gracefully towards the steel roof, luxurious sheepskins are scattered across the floor. Outside, beneath towering oak and beech trees, you’ll find a serene wood-fired hot tub.
Inside the cabin there’s a wood-burning stove to keep things cosy and a kitchen area with induction hob to cook up something special. Little touches of luxury are everywhere: fluffy towels and bathrobes, Faith in Nature toiletries and crisp Egyptian cotton sheets are all provided. There are vintage games and a carefully curated selection of books to help you while away the time. You can dine in style – inside or out – with ceramic tableware made specially for the cabin and silver cutlery.
The cabin has an en-suite bathroom with shower and compost toilet.
Adirondack chairs are arranged around a fire bowl in the clearing below the deck, or you can kick back in the hand-made swing seat, the ideal spot for sitting out at night gazing at the stars and listening to the resident owl. For outdoor eating there is a barbecue and a quirky table and chairs fashioned from an antique Johnny Walker whisky barrel.
Arcadia is entirely off-grid, powered by our state-of-the-art solar system. The cabin has been made by us with the help of local craftspeople using almost entirely reclaimed or repurposed materials – serving to keep our impact on nature as light as possible.
Please note that the path to Arcadia is 100m from the nearest parking and runs through a field. It is steep in places and can be muddy.
